New Delhi, March 20 -- In a significant boost to the operational readiness of India's defence forces, the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, on Thursday approved Acceptance of Necessity (AoNs) for eight capital acquisition proposals worth over Rs.54,000 crore, Buisiness Standard reported.
As part of the government's initiative to mark 2025 as the 'Year of Reforms,' the DAC also sanctioned guidelines aimed at expediting various stages of the Capital Acquisition Process, making procurement faster and more efficient.
