India, Oct. 28 -- The evacuation process has been heightened across Odisha and Andhra Pradesh with Cyclonic Storm "Montha" moving towards the coast and likely to make landfall between Kakinada between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam on Tuesday evening.
The deep depression over the Bay of Bengal intensified into Cyclone Montha on the night of October 26, over the southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal, as per data issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
As per IMD, turning into a severe cyclonic storm by the morning of October 28, it will further move north-northwestwards and cross the Andhra Pradesh coast between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam around Kakinada in the evening.
