India, Oct. 29 -- Severe cyclonic storm Montha made landfall along the Andhra Pradesh coast near Kakinada on Tuesday evening, bringing heavy rainfall, gale-force winds, and widespread disruption across coastal districts.
The cyclone's impact was also felt in 15 districts of neighbouring Odisha, where normal life was thrown out of gear.
According to officials, an elderly woman died after a tree collapsed on her house in Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district, while a boy and an auto driver were injured when strong winds uprooted coconut trees in the same region.
The system crossed the coast as a severe cyclonic storm with wind speeds of 90-100 kmph, gusting to 110 kmph.
