New Delhi/IBNS, May 26 -- The total number of Covid-19 cases have touched 1,009 in India with the recent spread of virus in several states, media reports said.

Delhi has so far recorded the highest number of active cases. The national capital has reported 104 active cases.

In terms of maximum number of cases, Delhi, Kerala and Maharashtra are worst-hit states.

Delhi, Kerala and Maharashtra reported 430, 335 and 209 cases respectively.

Seven Covid-related deaths have so far been reported from across the country since May 19.

The seven deaths are from Maharashtra (3), Kerala (2) and Karnataka (1).
