India, Jan. 17 -- Zimbabwe Cricket has appointed former West Indies captain and fast-bowling great Courtney Walsh as the team's bowling consultant ahead of the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup, the ICC said in a statement on Friday.

The limited-overs multi-nation tournament will be co-hosted by India, the defending champions, and Sri Lanka, and will be held from February 7 to March 8.

Walsh, who brings vast experience of playing in subcontinental conditions, has already begun working with the Zimbabwe squad in preparation for the global event.

Zimbabwe have been placed in Group B, alongside Australia, Ireland, Oman and Sri Lanka.
