India, Nov. 2 -- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Sunday launched its heaviest communication satellite to date, CMS-03, marking one of the major leaps in its satellite missions.
The satellite rode into a geosynchronous transfer orbit aboard the robust LVM-3 rocket at around 5:26 pm IST from Sriharikota.
GSAT-7R will provide robust telecommunication coverage across the Indian Ocean Region.
Its payload includes transponders capable of supporting voice, data, and video links over multiple communication bands.
