India, Dec. 27 -- French police have arrested a suspect in connection with the stabbing of three women near Paris metro stations on Friday, authorities said.
According to local media reports, the attacks took place while the French capital was crowded with Christmas and year-end festivities.
The three victims were stabbed at separate locations along Line 3 of the Paris metro network, which runs through central Paris, the public transport authority RATP told the AFP news agency.
Using surveillance camera footage and mobile phone tracking, police identified and located the 25-year-old suspect in the Val-d'Oise department, north of Paris, prosecutors told Le Monde.
