India, April 22 -- China has executed a man who had fatally stabbed a 10-year-old Japanese boy last September, media reports said.
The executed man was identified as Zhong Changchun.
He was sentenced to death in January for attacking the boy.
The boy was attacked when he was going to his school Shenzhen, southern China.
The incident had triggered diplomatic ties between the two nations.
The stabbing occurred on the 93rd anniversary of the Japanese bombing of a railroad track near Shenyang, which marked the beginning of the Manchurian Incident that led to Japan's invasion of northeastern China, reported Kyodo news agency.
