New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has unearthed a scam involving the use of proxies and payments as high as Rs 50 lakh per candidate to clear the NEET medical entrance exam.

The central investigative agency has charged a Maharashtra-based coaching centre RK Education Career Guidance, its Director Parimal Kotpalliwar and several students in the scam, sources in the CBI said, reported NDTV.

CBI said that candidates were asked to pay as much as Rs 50 lakh with the promise of admission in government medical colleges.

The parents of the willing candidates were asked to deposit post-dated cheques of the agreed amount and original mark sheets of the candidate for Class 10 and Class 12 as security deposit which t...
