New Delhi/IBNS, Nov. 14 -- TheCentral Bureau of Investigation(CBI), working closely with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), successfully facilitated the return ofwanted fugitive Jagdish Punetha from theUnited Arab Emirates(UAE) on Thursday (November 13).
Punetha had been on the run after being accused in a case registered at the Pithoragarh Police Station in Uttarakhand.
The charges against him include cheating and criminal conspiracy.
Following his escape to the UAE, Indian authorities initiated international action against him.
