India, June 7 -- A police complaint was filed against Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli on Friday in connection with the Bengaluru stampede case that claimed 11 lives and occurred during a felicitation ceremony of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) after their IPL win, media report said.

The complaint was lodged at the Cubbon Park Police Station.

On Thursday, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is under attack from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over Wednesday's stampede, suspended the police commissioner and his deputy.

He said the next step will be against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the Karnataka State Cricket Association, and their publicist, DNA Entertainment, Siddaramaiah told the media this evening.
