Ottawa, Jan. 21 -- Prime Minister Mark Carney met French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Denmark, including Greenland, and stressed that decisions on Greenland's future rest with Greenland and Denmark.
They agreed that cooperation within NATO is central to ensuring security in the Arctic.
Building on a recent Coalition of the Willing meeting in Paris, they highlighted ongoing efforts by Canada, France and their allies to establish strong security guarantees, including measures to strengthen Ukraine's defences.
