India, Nov. 12 -- The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday expressed profound grief and solidarity with the families of those killed in the terrorist car explosion near Delhi's Red Fort on November 10.
At the start of the meeting, the Cabinet observed a two-minute silence in honour of the victims of what it described as a "heinous and cowardly act" perpetrated by anti-national forces.
It also commended the medical teams and emergency responders for their prompt action in saving lives and providing critical care to the victims.
The Cabinet also acknowledged global solidarity, noting the "statements of support" received from several governments and international partners in the wake of the tragedy.
