Kolkata, Jan. 29 -- Amid nationwide protests, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) West Bengal President Dilip Ghosh on Tuesday sparked a controversy stating that he wonders how people are not dying in this feezing cold while protesting at the Shaheen Bagh in Delhi against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Speaking to media persons at the Kolkata Press Club, Ghosh said: "During demonetisation (scrapping of old Rs.500 and Rs.1000 currency notes by the Narendra Modi Government in 2016), Mamata Banerjee had claimed that many people died while waiting in the queue just for 2-3 hours. Then I wonder how nobody died at Shaheen Bagh in Delhi, who are protesting for days, in this freezing temperature which is like 4-5 degrees Celsius ."He kept on saying tha...
