Srinagar, Jan. 15 -- The broadband internet services in Jammu and Kashmir are likely to be restored in the institutions providing essential services in a phased manner starting from Wednesday, state government said in an order late on Tuesday.

The order means that institutions like hospitals, banks and government offices of the Union territory would now have the facility of broadband internet service.The government also said that the 2G services would be restarted in the postpaid mobile connections in five districts from the January 15 onward.The districts where 2G mobile connectivity on post-paid mobiles will resume from Wednesday include Udhampur, Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Reasi, all in the Jammu region.Internet facility through broadba...
