Patna/IBNS, Nov. 6 -- Polling in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections on Thursday saw a moderate but steady turnout, with 60.13% of the 3.75 crore voters casting their ballots across 121 constituencies till 5 p.m.

The phase, which will determine the fate of over 1,000 candidates, was marred by sporadic incidents of violence even as most areas reported peaceful polling.

Minapur constituency continued to record the highest voter turnout at 73.29%, according to figures released by the Election Commission.
