India, Nov. 19 -- The United States and Saudi Arabia on Tuesday finalized a sweeping series of landmark agreements, including the long-anticipated sale of F-35 fighter jets, the White House said.

The pacts were reached during Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to the U.S. - his first in seven years.

In a statement, the White House said that, "in a major expansion of this partnership," the Crown Prince announced that Saudi Arabia would raise its investment commitments in the United States to nearly $1 trillion, citing "deepening trust and momentum" under President Trump's leadership.
