India, Dec. 8 -- The Special Operation Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation in the Bhalara forest area of Doda district in the Union Territory on Sunday.
Official sources told Daily Excelsior that a joint team of security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in the forest area of Bhallara, which falls under the jurisdiction of Police Post Karrara and Police Station Thathri.
During the operation, security personnel recovered one Self-Loading Rifle (SLR), two magazines, and 20 rounds of ammunition. No arrests have been made so far.
