India, Jan. 16 -- India and Germany have signed a Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) on Telecommunications Cooperation during the official visit of German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz to India from January 12 to 13, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral ties in the digital domain.
The Joint Declaration was signed by Shri Amit Agrawal, Secretary (Telecom), on behalf of the Government of India, and Dr. Philipp Ackermann, German Ambassador to India, representing the Government of Germany.
The JDI was among the key outcomes of the discussions held between the Prime Minister of India and the Federal Chancellor of Germany during the visit.
