Bengaluru, March 22 -- Heavy rainfall in Bengaluru has caused major disruptions in air travel, leading to the diversion of at least 10 flights to Chennai, airport officials confirmed on Saturday, reported NDTV.

The inclement weather has resulted in delays and diversions, affecting flight schedules and inconveniencing passengers.

Leading airlines, including IndiGo and Air India, have issued advisories, urging travellers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.

Air India also confirmed that air traffic congestion caused by heavy rains has disrupted flight operations.
