Kolkata, Aug. 7 -- Footwear giant Bata India has announced a Rs.300 million investment in its Batanagar manufacturing unit, equipping it with cutting-edge automation technology to enhance quality, efficiency, and global competitiveness.

This move is part of the brand's broader transformation strategy.

The investment centres around installing Polyurethane Direct Injection Process (PUDIP) and IM EVA machinery for its Floatz and Bata Industrial lines.

These systems incorporate robotic spraying, automated roughening arms, and mould handling processes, improving product precision and production standards.
