Mumbai, June 28 -- Bank credit growth showed signs of recovery, rising 9.62% year-on-year to Rs.183.14 lakh crore as of June 13, according to the Reserve Bank of India's latest fortnightly data released on Friday.

On a fortnightly basis, credit expanded by 0.15%.

However, they fell by 0.44% compared to the previous fortnight.

As of end-May, deposits had grown 9.89% annually.

Investments by banks also declined marginally by 0.23% fortnight-on-fortnight to Rs.66.91 lakh crore, although they were up 7.38% on a yearly basis.
