Dhaka/IBNS, May 19 -- Popular Bangladeshi actress Nusraat Faria, who portrayed the country's ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on screen, was on Sunday arrested at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka in connection with a murder case, media reports said.

The police case was filed with Vatara Police Station where the actress was taken to after the arrest.

Nusraat was later shifted to the custody of the Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

As per a report by Prothom Alo English, Nusraat has been shifted to prison.

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court in Dhaka on Monday ordered the actress to be sent to prison.
