Dhaka/IBNS, Feb. 6 -- Violence returned to the streets of Bangladesh's capital Dhaka on Friday, just days before the country heads into a crucial general election, as protests led by the Inquilab Moncho escalated into fierce clashes with police.

At least 50 people were injured after law enforcement used batons, tear gas, water cannon, and sound grenades to disperse demonstrators demanding justice for slain leader Osman Hadi.
