India, May 5 -- A Bangladeshi court on Monday showed Hindu leader Chinmoy Krishna Das as arrested in the murder case related to the death of Advocate Saiful Islam Alif.
Alif was reportedly hacked to death outside a Bangladeshi court premises on November 7.
Amid security concerns, the hearing in the case was held virtually.
Das is currently lodged in a Bangladeshi jail for more than six months in a sedition case filed against him at Kotwali Police Station over alleged desecration of the national flag during a political rally.
The Appellate Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court stayed the High Court order on Wednesday, granting bail to Hindu spiritual leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari in a sedition case, media reports said.
