India, Jan. 5 -- The Bangladesh Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Monday directed all television channels to suspend the telecast of the Indian Premier League (IPL), days after Shah Rukh Khan-owned Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) released Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman.
"In view of the situation, the ministry has instructed the chief executives of all television channels to suspend the broadcast of all IPL matches and associated content with immediate effect," the newspaper reported.
Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) may consider a request from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to shift Bangladesh's T20 World Cup matches out of India, media reports said on Sunday.
