India, Aug. 8 -- At least five people have been detained in a case filed in the murder of a journalist in Bangladesh's Gazipur area, media reports said.
The people were detained from the scene and surrounding areas and brought to the police station, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shaheen Khan of Basan Police Station told The Daily Star.
The names and addresses of the detainees will be announced later, the OC told The Daily Star.
Md Selim Mia, brother of the victim, has filed the case against unidentified persons, he said.
The slain journalist was identified as 40-year-old Asaduzzaman Tuhin.
Originally from Bhatipara village of Mymensingh's Phulbaria upazila, Tuhin lived in the Chowrasta area, police told the newspaper.
