India, April 27 -- Thousands of people belonging to the Indian community assembled at Melbourne city's Federation Square in Australia on Saturday to protest against the terror attack in Pahalgam town in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22 that left 26 people, mostly non-Muslim tourists, dead.

The demonstrators held placards and chanted slogans such as "Pakistan Stop Terrorism," "Pakistan Army Terrorist Army," and "Hindu Lives Matter", reported ANI.

Similar protests were held outside the Pakistani Embassy in London and the Nepali capital Kathmandu.

Baisaran Attack

Jammu and Kashmir had attracted a large number of tourists ever since the Centre scrapped Article 370 in 2019.
