Mumbai/IBNS, March 7 -- Senior Hindi filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap has confirmed that he has quit making movies in the Hindi film industry or Bollywood, media reports said.

Anurag said in a recent interview with The Hindu that it has become tough for him to work in an industry where makers are solely aiming for profits.

Anurag has likely moved to Bengaluru and is keen to make films in South Indian languages, reports claim.

Earlier, in an interaction, Anurag had opened up on whether he cares about box office collections or not.

Anurag had last directed Kennedy, which starred Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone in the lead. The film was screened at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
