Jammu/IBNS, April 7 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs from Jammu and Kashmir in his visit to the union territory.

Shah reached Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday evening on a three-day visit.

As per reports, Shah directed the BJP MLAs to counter the ruling National Conference on issues like abrogation of Article 370 and Waqf (Amendment) Act in a meeting held in Jammu.

This is Shah's inaugural visit to Jammu and Kashmir after the NC-Congress won the assembly elections with 48 seats as opposed to BJP's 28 last year.

While the NC won the bulk of the ruling coalition seats, the BJP won all 28 from the Jammu region.
