India, Jan. 10 -- Tech major and online marketplace Amazon has launched the Alexa+ website, allowing users to interact with its virtual assistant directly through a web browser - a move that places the company in more direct competition with ChatGPT and other AI chat platforms.

Announcing the rollout on Monday, Amazon said: "Today, we're expanding on that vision by rolling out Alexa.com to all Alexa+ Early Access customers."

The company said more than 600 million Alexa-enabled devices have been purchased worldwide to date.

According to Amazon, users can use Alexa.com to get quick answers, explore complex topics, create content, plan travel itineraries and receive help with homework. Beyond providing information, the company said Alexa+...
