India, March 20 -- US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has expressed her deep admiration for India and described it as a nation where she "always feels at home."

Speaking to India's ANI news agency, the US politician said: "Let me just say, I love so much about India. I always feel at home when I'm here."

Sharing her fondness for Indian food, she said she any dish made with fresh paneer is her favourite.

"The people are so welcoming and kind, and the food is always delicious. Dal Makhani and anything with fresh paneer are my favourites," she said.
