India, Feb. 9 -- A notice issued by the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) triggered a row on Sunday after it claimed that beef biriyani would be served instead of chicken in the lunch at Sir Shah Sulaiman Hall.
The notice, reportedly issued by two "authorised" people, soon went viral on social media, triggering a massive controversy.
Following the uproar over the notice, AMU issued a clarification where it reportedly said that it was a "typing error".
The AMU ensured a showcase notice will be issued against those responsible for the notice.
