Hyderabad/IBNS, Dec. 10 -- Akhanda 2, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, has locked a new release date following a dramatic delay due to a restraining order by the Madras High Court.
Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the Telugu fantasy-action film is now set to hit theatres on December 12, a week after its original scheduled release.
The release was previously postponed after the High Court intervened over a financial dispute.
The controversy involves a liability of Rs.27.70 crore that 14 Reels Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., a group company of the film's producer, allegedly owes to Eros International Media Ltd. The pending dues led Eros to seek court action ahead of the December 5 release.
