India, Jan. 30 -- Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sunetra Pawar is likely to take oath as Maharashtra's new Deputy Chief Minister on Saturday, media reports said.
This comes days after the post fell vacant following the death of her husband and senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar in a plane crash in Baramati.
The NCP is scheduled to hold a legislative party meeting at the Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai at 2 pm on Saturday to finalise her name formally.
The oath-taking ceremony is expected to be held later in the evening.
