Mumbai/IBNS, July 21 -- An Air India flight on Monday veered off runway at the Mumbai airport due to heavy rainfall, media reports said.

The Mumbai-bound flight, which was coming from Kochi, veered off shortly after landing.

Three tyres of the flight burst during the landing, Hindustan Times reported.

The runway suffered minor damage.

Inspection and repair of the runway is underway.
