India, June 13 -- The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Friday informed that the black box of the crashed Air India flight in Ahmedabad has been recovered.

It will help in the further investigation of the deadly crash, which left 241 people dead.

Union Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu told India Today, "The Flight Data Recorder (Black Box) has been recovered within 28 hours from the accident site in Ahmedabad by AAIB. This marks an important step forward in the investigation. This will significantly aid the enquiry into the incident."
