Montreal, Nov. 27 -- More than 1,000 children across Canada travelled to theme parks in Florida and California this year through Dreams Take Flight, an annual charitable programme supported by Air Canada and the Air Canada Foundation.

The programme now operates eight chapters across the country and is run entirely by volunteers. Air Canada supplies aircraft and operational support for each trip.

Children selected through partner organisations travel with volunteers, including current and retired Air Canada staff, who accompany them throughout the day.
