Toronto/IBNS, Nov. 21 -- Air Canada and Emirates will extend and expand their strategic partnership under a memorandum of understanding signed by both carriers, the airlines announced Tuesday.

The renewed agreement will keep their reciprocal codeshare and loyalty partnership in place until December 31, 2032.

The partnership, launched in 2022, has connected more than 550,000 passengers across 56 codeshare routes linking Canada, the United States, Dubai and destinations in the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Both airlines said the expanded agreement will improve customer benefits, add potential new codeshare gateways in Canada and deepen cooperation on cargo operations.
