India, Nov. 12 -- Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi has embarked on an official visit to the United States from November 12 to 17 to strengthen the maritime partnership between the Indian Navy and the U.S. Navy, the Ministry of Defence said on Tuesday.
"During the visit, the CNS is scheduled to hold discussions with senior officials of the U.S. Department of War," the ministry said in a statement.
Admiral Tripathi will also meet Admiral Samuel J. Paparo, Commander of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), and Admiral Stephen T. Koehler, Commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet (USPACFLT), along with other senior naval leaders and dignitaries.
