Kolkata/IBNS, Aug. 1 -- Novelist Manik Bandopadhyay's creation Putulnacher Itikatha has been interpreted as a feature film titled Putulnacher Itikatha, which is directed by Suman Mukhopadhyay.
The film revolves around Shashi (Abir Chatterjee), a doctor trained in Kolkata, who is entangled in his dubious village practice.
He lives alone in his ancestral house and portrays a city like persuading relationships with women.

As the film proceeds, the return of Shashi's city-friend Kumud, intensifies his trapped existence.
His closest ally Jadav Pundit stages his own death, leading to a disruption to their relationship and further escalating his inner turmoil.
