India, Jan. 19 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday personally welcomed UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the airport in Delhi, highlighting the close ties between India and the United Arab Emirates.
Sharing visuals of the meeting on social media, PM Modi described the visit as one to "welcome my brother," with photographs showing the two leaders warmly embracing and later travelling together in the same car from the airport.
"Went to the airport to welcome my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. His visit illustrates the importance he attaches to a strong India-UAE friendship. Looking forward to our discussions," the prime minister said in a post on X.
