New Delhi/IBNS, Jan. 13 -- Quick commerce platforms have removed the 10-minute delivery deadline for gig workers following nationwide protests held in December 2025, media reports said.
Following the discussions, the companies assured the government that they would remove the "10-minute delivery" pledge from their branding and service commitments.
The decision aims to improve road safety, worker security and overall working conditions for gig workers.
The protests were organised by the Telangana Gig and Platform Workers Union in coordination with the Indian Federation of App-based Transport Workers.
Gig workers associated with platforms such as Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit, Zepto, Amazon and Flipkart took part in the protests.
