India, Oct. 25 -- Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has called out the West's "double standards" asking a direct question on why India is singled out for exercising its autonomy and buying Russian oil while the European nations enjoy certain exemptions, media reports said.

Goyal asked the question in a round table discussion with UK Trade Minister Douglas Alexander while comparing the sanctions the two nations faced over Russian state-owned oil giant Rosneft.
