India, June 17 -- US President Donald Trump has issued a warning to Iran's Supreme Leader, asking him to 'surrender unconditionally' and also stating that he knows where Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is hiding and can get him eliminated.

"We know exactly where the so-called 'Supreme Leader' is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

"But we don't want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" the US President said.

He also demanded an "Unconditional surrender".

Trump had earlier vetoed Israeli plans to assassinate Khamenei.
