Kolkata/IBNS, June 26 -- Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has regretted getting dismissed in the 80s and 90s on "too many" occasions denying himself opportunities to slam more international hundreds.

The cricket great, who scored over 18,000 international runs, slammed 38 centuries in his illustrious career.

In the same interview, Ganguly has revealed his interest to coach Team India if given an opportunity.

Ganguly said he slipped into multiple roles since retirement so "never really thought about it".

The southpaw who made his debut in international cricket in 1992, retired in 2008.

He last played in the cash-rich T20 tournament IPL last in 2012.
