Bengaluru/IBNS, Feb. 19 -- A Bengaluru man has won the case which he filed against PVR-Inox and Book My Show for wasting his time by running lengthy commercials at a cinema hall, media reports said.

Abhishek MR, 30, had booked three tickets for a 4:05 pm show to watch Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur in 2023.

He had planned to resume work after 6:30 pm when the film was expected to be over.

Abhishek filed a complaint alleging he could not attend other scheduled works and also suffered losses that can't be measured in terms of money.

The consumer court, which asserted "time is considered as money", directed PVR-Inox to pay Rs. 50,000 for the unfair trade practice and wasting time of the complainant, Rs. 10,000 for filing the complaint...
