New Delhi/IBNS, July 24 -- The Supreme Court on Thursday slammed the Karnataka High Court's bail to Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who was arrested for allegedly killing his 'fan' Renukaswamy.

Even last week, the Supreme Court had slammed the HC over the release saying the lower court had failed to exercise discretion.

Single-judge bench of the High Court granted the bail for Darshan to undergo a surgery.

The State had presented Darshan's medical reports from the doctors at Ballari Central Prison as well as the head of the department of neurology at a government hospital in the district.
