New Delhi/IBNS, Jan. 12 -- The United States has described India as its most essential partner globally, with ambassador-designate Sergio Gor underlining the strategic importance of New Delhi in Washington's foreign policy.
Speaking at the US Embassy in New Delhi, Gor also revealed that trade negotiations between the two countries resumed on Monday (January 12), marking a renewed push to strengthen economic ties.
Gor, who also serves as the US Special Envoy to South and Central Asia, hinted that President Donald Trump could visit India by next year, adding momentum to the growing diplomatic engagement between the two nations.
