India, Dec. 1 -- In a chilling twist to the Nanded honour killing case, 21-year-old Anchal Mamidwar has accused two Maharashtra policemen of egging on her brothers to murder her boyfriend, 20-year-old Saksham Tate, over their inter-caste relationship.

Days after his brutal killing, heartbreaking visuals of Anchal "marrying" Saksham's corpse have stunned the nation.

"My brothers promised they would organise our wedding. But they betrayed us at the last moment," she said.

Anchal claims her brother took her to the police station hours before the murder and tried to force her to file a false case against Saksham.

Her brother allegedly responded, saying: "Okay, I will kill him by evening and come."
